9                      ἔδοξεν τεῖ βουλεῖ καὶ τῶι δήμωι·
10Δημοκράτης Σουνιέως Κολωνῆθεν εἶπεν· ἐπειδ[ὴ]
11οἱ ἐπιμεληταὶ τῶν Μυστηρίων οἱ χειροτονηθέντες
12εἰς τὸν ἐνιαυτὸν τὸν ἐπὶ Διοκλέους ἄρχοντος τάς
13τε θυσίας ἔθυσαν, ὅσαι καθῆκον αὐτοῖς ἐν τῶι ἐνιαυ–
14τῶι τεῖ τε Δήμητρι καὶ τεῖ Κόρ<η>[ι] κ[α]ὶ τοῖς ἄλλοις θεοῖς,
15οἷς πάτριον ἦν ὑπὲρ τῆς βουλῆς καὶ τοῦ δήμου καὶ πα[ί]–

4Sekretär war; Beschlüsse des Rates; im Skiropho-
5rion am dritten, dem dritten (Tag) der Pryta-
6nie; Ratsversammlung im Buleuterion; von den Vorsitzenden
7leitete die Abstimmung Phanokles S.d. Hippomachos aus dem Demos Angele
8und seine Mitvorsitzenden.
9Beschluss von Rat und Volk;
10Demokrates S.d. Sounieus aus dem Demos Kolonos stellte den Antrag: Da
11die Mitglieder der Kommission für die Mysterien, die gewählt waren
12für das Jahr unter dem Archon Diokles, alle die
13Opfer geopfert haben, zu denen sie im Jahr verpflichtet waren
14an Demeter und Kore und die anderen Götter,
15denen es traditionell Brauch war, für den Rat und das Volk und Kinder
16und Frauen; sie auch geopfert haben auch die nötigen Voropfer
17und aus eigenen Mitteln das Gespann gestellt haben für
18den Transport des Sakralgerätes, den ihnen für das Gespann
19beglichenen Preis aber dem Rat übergeben
20haben; sie auch Sorge getragen haben für den Ritt zum Meer
21und für den Empfang des Iakchos(-Bildes) in Eleusis, ebenso
22auch für die Mysterien in Agrai, die
23in diesem Jahr zweimal stattfanden wegen der Veranstaltung
24der (Großen) Eleusinien; sie auch als Opfer zu den
25(Großen) Eleusinien einen Stier geschickt haben; sie auch für
26den Rat das Fleisch verteilt haben an die sechshundertfünfzig (Ratsmitglieder),
27und über all das Rechnung
28abgelegt haben gegenüber den Rechnungsprüfent und in
29das Metroon, und Rechenschaft gegeben haben im
30Gerichtshof gemäß den Gesetzen, und
31alles anderen für die Opfer, wozu sie verpflichtet waren,
32aus eigenen Mitteln aufgewendet haben, ehrgeizig bemüht
33um Rat und Volk; – Damit nun
34ein Wettstreit sei unter den Ehrgeizigen, wenn
35sie wissen, dass sie angemessenen Dank erhalten für das,
36was sie an Wohltaten leisten werden, zu Glück und Heil!, möge
37beschließen der Rat: dass die Vorsitzenden, die
38erlost sein werden für die kommende Volks-
39versammlung, hierüber verhandeln lassen und die Beschlussvorlage
40des Rates in die Volksversammlung einbringen,
41wonach der Rat es für gut befindet, dass man belobige
42die Miglieder der Kommission für die Mysterien unter
43dem Archon Diokles: Thrasykles S.d. - - -
44aus dem Demos Auridai, Niketes S.d. Niketes aus dem Demos P- - -,
45und bekränze einen jeden von beiden mit einem Myrthen-
46Kranz wegen ihrer Frömmigkeit gegenüber
47den Göttern und ihres Ehrgeizes für den Rat
48und das Volk; dass sie, wenn sie auch
49in Zukunft ehrgeizig sind, noch andere Auszeichnung
50finden werden bei dem Volk, deren sie für würdig erachtet
51werden; dass diesen Beschluss
52der Sekretär, der während der Prytanie amtiert, aufzeichne auf
53zwei steinernen Stelen und aufstelle die eine im Vorhof
54des Heiligtums in Eleusis, die andere - - -

10Demokrates son of Sounieus of Kolonai proposed: since

31spent from their own resources on everything else
32that was fitting for the sacrifices, showing love of honour
33towards the Council and the People; in order therefore
34that there may be an incentive for honour-loving behaviour
35for those who know that they will obtain thanks worthy
36of their benefactions, for good fortune, the
37Council shall decide, that the presiding committee
38allotted to preside at the forthcoming
39Assembly shall place these matters on the agenda, and submit
40the opinion of the Council to the People,
41that it seems good to the Council to praise the
42managers of the Mysteries in the
43archonship of Diokles, Thrasykles son of -
44of Auridai, Niketes son of Niketes of P-,
45and crown each of them with a myrtle
46crown for their piety towards
47the gods and their love of honour towards the Council
48and People; and on their continuing to show love of honour
49in the future they may also obtain other benefits
50from the People, whatever they may be deemed to be worthy of;
51and the prytany secretary shall inscribe
52this decree on two stone stelai
